How did we come up with this concept and why?

Thilaga and I (Shanthi) came to know each other during the annual summer trek conducted by the school KFI. We bonded over our passion for cooking. We used to talk about preparing healthy parampariya food. Then, we slowly began experimenting and sharing recipes. Upon hearing of the need for a fundraising event to help in the relocation of the school, we thought, "Why not spread our knowledge and create awareness of Parampariya millets and traditional rices?"

About Thilagavathi

I am a working mother and love to experiment various Indian dishes. I own a HR Consultancy.

About Shanthi

I received a degree in Mathematics and worked in the IT industry for around twelve years. Now, I am proud to be an organic farmer, artist (I upcycle waste materials and conduct workshop in schools and colleges) and fitness geek (group fitness trainer and marathoner runner).

Apart from all the above, I love to cook healthy food for my family, friends and relatives. Whenever I am invited for a potluck all my friends say, "If Shanthi is coming surely one or two healthy dishes will be available". This is my signature quality!

Currently, I am part of the Nam Parampariyam group which was started by nine of my friends (outside of school) to create awareness about Parampariya millets and traditional cooking methods.

Registation for this workshop is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
