KRISHNAMURTI FOUNDATION INDIA
Krishnamurti Foundation India (KFI) is one of three Foundations in the world that run schools exploring education in the light of the teachings of J. Krishnamurti.
Krishnamurti Foundation India (KFI), has its headquarters at Vasanta Vihar, 64-65 Greenways Road, Chennai. The Foundation publishes the writings and talks of Krishnamurti in book, audio and video formats and concerns itself with dissemination of the teachings to interested individuals and groups. It is also concerned that interested individuals must be able to access the teachings through retreats and study centres. At Vasanta Vihar there are facilities for individuals to be in retreat and deeply study the teachings.
EDUCATION CENTRES
KFI has five full fledged educational centres in India: at Rishi Valley in Andhra Pradesh, Rajghat in Varanasi, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune. All centres are well known for the schools that attempt a 'wholly different kind of education'. Each of the centres has other activities as well - study centres, rural education, teacher education, higher education, rural nutrition, health and medical centre.
Krishnamurti Foundation Trust in England runs the Brockwood Park school in England and Krishnamurti Foundation America runs the The Oak Grove School in Ojai, California. All these schools and centres function with a common intention.
